SNOW CANCELLATION POLICY:
Final decision to cancel a meeting depends on whether our volunteer educators believe they can make it safely to the meeting and home again at its conclusion. However, we will generally follow the following guidelines: if the city hosting the meeting OR the city of Boston has a snow emergency in effect and/or if school is cancelled in that city or Boston for that day, we will most likely cancel the BWI meeting. We will make every effort to post notice by 9 pm the night before, but may reserve judgement until 8 am the day of the meeting if appropriate. Please refer to our Facebook/Twitter for the latest information about cancellations. In the event of a cancellation, you'll receive another email with carrier return options.
At every meeting we have pregnant mamas, newborns, and others who are at heightened risk if exposed to colds or viruses, and we want everyone to stay healthy -- including our leaders, many of whom attend multiple meetings every month, and whose absence, when they or their kids are sick, makes it difficult for us to effectively support everyone who comes to the meeting!
So, please STAY HOME and rest if you or a member of your family is actively sick (persistent sneezing, coughing, or colorful runny nose not due simply to dry, cold weather or allergies), has the flu or any virus, has been running a fever or vomiting within the last 24 hours, or you have any other symptoms that you would not want your newborn exposed to from anyone else. Wait to visit us until the next meeting -- we have at least 3 every month, and sometimes more! Contact email@example.com as soon as possible for carrier return options.
CARRIER CLEANING POLICY:
Carriers must be returned clean, in good condition, and ready for immediate checkout. However, to prolong the life of the carriers and prevent unnecessary wear, spot clean with plain water. If more cleaning is necessary, a small amount of a gentle dish soap may be used. Occasionally, more thorough cleaning may be required. If you believe more cleaning is necessary, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for instructions.
