This week: Double Hammock Carry, also called a Chunei Back Carry
How it got it’s name: With two rebozo passes across baby’s back, it’s literally like creating a double hammock with your wrap. Twice the comfort, twice the support.
Why we like it: This is a great back carry that keeps baby nice and secure! With the two rebozo passes going across baby’s back, there is more fabric to keep baby tight and close to your body and there is more to support the baby’s weight. It's great for those wiggle worms and also great for small babies or the bigger ones. Generally considered one of the most comfortable carries, it’s worth a shot!
Safety: Keep in mind that if this is your first time doing a back carry or even this particular carry, you should have a spotter and/or practice over a soft
surface such as a bed or a couch. You can even practice with a doll or stuffed animal first until you feel comfortable.
Tune in next week to see what Wrap Carry we’ll feature next!
