Welcome Back to Wrap Wednesday!
This is our final wrap post for August and we thought we would end it with a hip carry!
This week: Coolest Hip Cross Carry (CHCC)
How it got it’s name: This is a fun one, because it gives you an idea how some more advanced wraps get their names. This carry is a modification on the Hip Cross Carry. Someone at some point modified that wrap and decided it was cool enough to get it’s own name. Coolest Hip Cross Carry it is...
It has a nice ring to it, right?
Why we like it: Hip carries are great in a Ring Sling or Pouch so why not in a Wrap! This Hip carry is easy to learn, super quick, and easy to do! We love that it pre-ties so you just have to pop baby in. Hip carries allow baby to easily view behind and in front while giving the wearer more mobility than a front carry offers.
Safety: Keep in mind that if this is your first time doing this carry, you might want to have a spotter and/or practice over a soft surface such as a bed or a couch. You can even practice with a doll or stuffed animal first until you feel comfortable.
A huge thank you to Babywearing Faith for letting us feature her awesome
instructions for wrapping on Boston Babywearers for the whole month of August!
